My thoughts as someone who hasn’t played in a while

So as I understand Jagex got bought off by goblins who upped the price of rent for us.

Now, we all know that good pricing is important for sale margins. In other words, selling for less COULD mean making more and vice-versa.

Them raising the price this much and gatekeeping basic support must mean one (or some) of the following:

-They do not believe in the long-term value of osrs or do not want to put in the effort in it

-They want to make the most before offloading the company to someone else

-They plan to actively prey on those who chronically play (no judgment, we’ve all been there or are there <3) knowing they won’t unsubscribe

What else can I add here?

I haven’t even mentioned those who play the game as a means to live/socialize (be that a gold farmer, streamer, disabled users, etc.)
