AITA for "slut-shaming" my partner's friend?
OK so I (26M) am dating my partner (26M) who has a friend (26F). This friend, lets call her Helen, is the "free spirited" type of person. She is, at this point in her life, strictly non monogamous. She also enjoys cocaine and taking her shirt off. She has been fully naked in front of me once and topless multiple times. I don't really have a problem with any of this - this is just background information.
About a week ago, me and my partner were at home and Helen came over. The night previous, Helen went to cocaine-infused orgy after meeting some people at the club. Helen starts telling us about the cocaine-infused orgy and I zone out looking at my computer.
Some time goes by and Helen gets a text from a guy she was talking to. Me and my partner have never met the guy, but Helen has been talking to him for a couple of weeks and seemed to like him. From what I gathered, he is also non-monogamous and she found him on an app catering to those relationships.
In the text, he said he doesn't want to continue seeing Helen because he doesn't think they are compatible. Before the "breakup" text, Helen told the guy about the the cocaine-infused orgy. The guy mentioned that he doesn't want to date someone who does that kind of stuff.
Helen is upset about this, crying and saying that he is an asshole. She then says that "he is slut-shaming me". This is were I made a mistake and should have kept my mouth shut. Instead of that, I said "He's not slut shaming you, he just doesn't want to date you".
She's pissed at this and says "If he doesn't want to date me because of the sex I have, then he is slut-shaming me". I disagree and say that not wanting to date someone because of what they are doing sexually while dating them is perfectly valid. I get that they are both non-monogamous, but that doesn't mean that he has to be OK with everything that his partner does. There are boundaries even in those types of relationships. My boyfriend, by the way, hasn't said anything since we started arguing.
Helen has now pointed the conversation at me and asks me if I would not date someone because of this. I find this weird because she knows that I am not non-monogamous, which makes anything I say a moot point, but I reply that I would not. She calls me a fucking asshole and storms off.
Honestly, I think Helen feeling bad is valid, but I also think that breaking up with someone because they had a cocaine-infused orgy is valid. In my opinion, calling the guy an asshole and that he is slut-shaming you for breaking up with you is way out of line and not correct. Yes I should have kept my mouth shut, but are my thoughts wrong about this?
