Am I overreacting that my sister takes pictures of me while I’m asleep?

I (17F) have been feeling really exhausted lately. I’ve been dealing with a fever, I stayed up late last night studying for an exam I had today, and to top it all off, it’s that time of the month. After coming home from the exam, I spent some time with my family, but I was so drained that I accidentally fell asleep in my room during the evening.

Here’s the issue: my sister (26) has this habit of taking pictures of me when I’m asleep. She’s done this since we were kids, and honestly, I didn’t care much back then. But now that I’m older, I hate having my picture taken in general, let alone when I’m asleep. A couple of months ago, she did the same thing, and I told her directly that I hated it and didn’t want her to do it again.

Today, she took another picture of me while I was asleep and even showed it to our mom. I’m beyond tired and unwell, so this really upset me. When I confronted her, she defended herself by saying that I used to take pictures of her years ago when we were younger. The thing is, I’ve never taken pictures of her while she was asleep, and anything I did take was casual stuff that I deleted a long time ago.

I get that siblings have a thing for teasing each other or doing things like this, but she never respects my privacy. I’ve told her before that I’m not okay with it, and she still does it anyway. It feels like she’s completely disregarding how I feel, and I’m really starting to resent it.

I just don’t understand why she has to document me sleeping. Is it so unusual for someone to fall asleep that it needs to be photographed? I’ve told her before that I’m not okay with it, so I feel like this is her crossing some of my personal boundaries. But now I’m second-guessing myself because she’s acting like I’m overreacting.
