A months difference
First tank ive ever set up before, i set it up november 21st and its officially dec 22nd which means its been a whole month im very excited to see how much its grown and look back at the notes ive taken its intended only for shrimp and some snails, theres some bladder snails in there that came with the plants (which ive been keeping the eggs under control but the lady needs to close her shell i swear) ive got water wisteria, moneywort, red ludwigia (didnt come very red but im starting to see some color in the newer leaves, mostly just the undersides), red tiger lotus, dwarf anubias, and monte carlo Im probably gonna replace the monte carlo unless i can figure out a way to get the carpet working, it looks more like its dying then anything LOL there was an attempt im still figure it out. If i replace it ill probably go along the lines of like.. dwarf baby tears??? not sure
i started off with very soft water (basically 0 for everything when i started) theres no amonia and the levels are almost at where i need them for neos theres tons of micro life and even a scud popped up
in the second image (current image) i just cut the ludwigia and replanted it behind the lotus in an attempt to make a denser forest in that spot since im pretty happy with how the wisteria forest has become
when i get the levels right im going to be ordering some red root floaters and water spangles for the surface of the water along with, of course, the shrimp ill probably remove the majority of the shells before i get shrimp and stuff and move the remainer of them behind the driftwood since theres parts without plants that i can hide them in so the stone area is clear from anything, i have that spot so i get a clear landing without the carpet plant for viewing and feeding without disturbing the stuff around it (and just cause i like idea of the look)
