It’s too much of a coincidence

So, about 2 days after that absolutely fraudulent decision by Oliver, the PGMOL come out with deflection tactics.

First, they use their relationship with broadcasters (Sky in particular) to have their pundits not criticise them as much. You can tell by how many of them aren’t willing to outright admit it was the wrong decision.

Then some charity about referee abuse goes on talk sport to speak about some of the abuse refs get. Martin Keown was so incandescent with him and rightly made the point that it’s not about referee abuse in this case, it’s about being held accountable. Not even Simon Jordan could argue.

Finally David Coote comes out with a statement and apologises for his actions. Then he also comes out as gay. Looking online nobody seems to care about his sexuality. They care about him bringing the referee role into disrepute.

All three of these things have happened in the last 2 days. It can’t be a coincidence that, as soon as controversy happens they’re quick to defend themselves and deflect criticism away from them. This is how cartels move.

They’re genuinely trying to sweep this under the rug and it’s not working. Astonishing
