€ - Will the Euro ever be strong again?

I miss the days when a euro equalled $1.50 USD and upwards. Or even more recently when it was around $1.20. Today it's $1.05, even hitting $0.96 at one stage.

Call me selfish, but I fondly remember the days when relatives would bring home tech for all of the extended family and save us hundreds. It's just not the same anymore now that it is near parity.

Do you think the euro will ever pick up strength again? Or is its current evaluation here to stay for the foreseeable future? It will hardly get much worse, could it?
