Service Hours Awards

What do Scouts get for their Service Hours? I know service hours are required for some ranks and merit badges, but the amounts are pretty low (a couple hours or so) for each one. Most of my Scouts get these participating in our normal troop activities. I try to encourage them to do more, but the typical response is "I've already got my hours."

Is there any additional awards for Scouts that complete 50, 100 or more service hours? Don't we want to reward that? It seems like there should be something similar to the Outdoor Achievement Awards.

Additionally, there is a disconnect at the troop level. The District is constantly bugging us to input Service Hours, because it is on their JTE. Council and National love to brag about how many hours have been donated by the organization. But the troop gets absolutely nothing. Shouldn't there be recognition for troops that donate their time (and put it into Scout book)?
