Spool – Filament End Stuck with Tape?
Hey everyone,
I recently noticed something concerning with my Bambu Lab spool on my A1 with AMS Lite. When the filament ran out, the very last piece was taped to the spool. As the AMS pulled the last bit, it actually ripped the tape along with the filament end off the spool. If I hadn’t paused the print in time, this could have been pulled into the PTFE tube, which seems like a potential issue.
Since I can’t remove the tape without unwinding the entire spool, I’m wondering:
- Is the filament end always taped to the spool on Bambu Lab filaments?
- Has this ever caused problems for anyone?
- Any tips on how to prevent this from being pulled into the PTFE tube?
