To put it blatantly, what the FUCK is Grimm's problem?

(Just 100%ed Blacksouls 1 and was a bit curious about this)

Since Grimm is clearly a standalone character and not just a player self insert, those...red options, must always be something he's considering doing. And the narrator always talks about how he's barely holding together his decency when just being in the presence of women. Also, the fact that he went out of his way to rape Mary Sue for basically no reason before killing hershows that he will naturally gravitate towards doing these things when not given player input.

Besides being stuck in the loop (where he loses his memories anyway) he seems pretty trauma free. And despite the reputation the Grimm Brothers and Carroll have, they are pretty normal people (assuming we don't believe the Carroll pedophile theory) it's not like anyone in the IRL author soulmeld would fuck with his head.

Is there an actual lore reason Grimm is a Gigarapist? Or is it just an excuse to get the non-con ero scenes
