Is Shucked a good show?

I don’t know much about broadway but my mom and I always love going to the theater. She recently lost her mom and her birthday is coming up and I’m thinking of buying us tickets to shucked for her birthday. Is it a good show to see with family? I know it’s a comedy so I’m hoping it’s something that can cheer her up.
