Any misconceptions when first watching BSD?

Okay, not sure the best flair for this, but I can't think of anything else to fit this.

So, when you guys first got into BSD, what was your immediate misconceptions? I am bored, haven't slept in a while and stuck on writing a fic (I may use these misconceptions in the fic. Maybe.)

For me, it was this:

  1. Kunikida is a girl — Why did I think this? I watched it all in eng sub and because I wasn't paying attention, I thought Kunikida was a genuinely low-voiced woman. I also thought the subtitles weren't translated properly (I watch a lot of donghua, and the subtitles are... eh...), so I didn't realise until deeply in season 2.

  2. Tachihara in the PM and Hunting Dogs were different people. Way before I got to the point the Hunting Dogs showing up, any spoilers of Tachihara in the outfit made me think he had a cousin. I thought there'd be some shenanigans. Don't ask me why.

  3. Ashamedly, thought Jouno was some popular oc. Once again, before I actually got the part where the Hunting Dogs showed up. I genuinely thought he was an OC the fandom liked. Same with Nikolai.

  4. Oda would show up in the early seasons. Funfact, I got into BSD because I saw a clip of Oda. I thought he'd be a side character that would show up a lot. Yall should've seen my face when he died.

Lastly, 5. Dazai and Kunikida were married. Listen, listen— it was the way they acted a bit too much like my two friends (who are dating ) and I was like 'oh shit, gay? Real' and then never thought about it. I also thought Dazai was a chronic cheater or they both had a open relationship. I am fully aware they aren't, but I'm now a Kunizai shipper, so—

Honestly, there's a few other things, like how i thought Kouyou and Mori were together, or Ango was Dazai's dad, or even that Fyodor and Mori are related (like, brothers, or cousins.)

So yeah. Anyways, any misconceptions yall had? I just wanna know if I'm alone on the whole 'thought Kunikida was a girl' thing.
