Tips for body recomp?

I (f25 5’8 127lbs) lost 93lbs and am not very toned (“skinny fat”). I don’t have a gym membership but am thinking about getting one. Right now I do a 5 mile walk everyday, hike 3-5x a week, and use 6lb dumbbells for some arm workouts. I just got some resistance bands for my legs.

I know I need to focus on increasing protein but should I be aiming for maintenance or eating in a surplus? I don’t like the idea of gaining weight but if it will be better in the end I’m going willing to do it. I want to stay lean but have muscle and work towards getting a butt. I’m completely flat right now in my chest and glutes sadly that’s my body type with most fat in my stomach
