Shift Assignment
I’ve stated this here before, but when I first got transferred to the team i’m in now, i was doing 8:30am-4:45pm. I got that shift because it was a first come first serve type of thing. We were able to pick what shifts we wanted.
Fast forward to last month, I randomly get told by my supervisor that because we were short staffed and due to “Seniority” I had no choice but to do a 11pm to 7:30pm shift.
I was shocked because i had never worked that late before in this company and plus they knew I was trying to go to school this upcoming fall.
She said that it was only until we got new people. We just got 4 new reps last week so I asked if I can get my schedule back.
While I wait for the inevitable no, how does your call center assigns shifts?
