PSA: Just because you're tracking isn't updating doesn't mean it's not moving

I had a package ship from BC via Xpresspost the Monday before Good Friday and the first and only update was that the shipper had created and submitted the order but CP had yet to pick it up. 8 days pass, and while I know it was a long weekend I also knew the bigger plants were processing and some places even doing deliveries on the Monday so I assume "the machine" was still working on some level. My package said expected delivery was the Tuesday after the weekend and i checked tracking. Still said package had not been picked up but delivery was that day- usually if the day is there and CP system can tell it's not showing up they push it back a day but it still said Tuesday so I send the seller an email asking if they had indeed actually sent my package. 3 Hours later it said it had been delivered to my post office. It went from "CP is waiting to pick up the pack from your seller" to delivered. So don't panic if there's no updates . With all the COvid stuff and the outbreak in Mississauga maybe they're just handling packs less and doing few scans to limit points of contact
