Whiskey Suggestions

Hi folks,

So I'm Irish and living in America, I'm back for Christmas, and a friend of mine asked me to bring him back a bottle of whiskey. I'm not a huge whiskey fan, can any of you kindly recommend a good whiskey to bring back?

Jameson is very available in the US&A - so I'd like to bring something different back. Any suggestions would be great, thanks!!
