Witnessed a Brutal Accident to Start the New Year

I was on my way from Kolathur to my office in Anna nagar. To reach anna nagar west, I had to go up Padi roundabout flyover and noticed that there was an unusual congestion in which the traffic didn't move for 5 mins. When it finally cleared, I got to the top of the flyover and noticed a big truck parked at the side of spot where the connecting bridge merges with the roundabout and a bike down near it. I saw an old well dressed middle aged man who must be around 50, down in the road near the bike crying his heart out and then noticed the body of a woman who was wearing a silk saree half squished in the wheel of the truck. There was blood and internal organs smeared over the road. Some people were trying to console the old man. Police were investigating the truck drivers. All in all, it was a horrible scene to watch.

I am sitting in my office all alone, trying to make sense of whatever I saw. Life is not fair. Your loved ones may be gone any moment. I hope you cherish them.

I also hope that our roads become safer for two wheelers.
