OK THIS IS A DOOZY..

ok so heres the deal (try to keep up) so my wife works from home. there is a program sh uses called In Contact. this program will work for a few days then all of a sudden just stop working. EVERYTHING ELSE AS FAR AS OUR INTERNET IS FINE, ITS JUST THIS ONE PROGRAM.

now we can go to our apartment managers office, it works, we can use our phones hotspot (and our phones are through metro pcs) and it works. we can use the Xfinity hotspot and it works, but as soon as we hardwire to the modem it DOESNT work.
so we change modems. it will work for a few days and then stop. weve had 3 techs come out to the house NOTHING. the last tech did tell us that theres whats called a "suckout". but after going through and talking to the tech support at my wifes job it seems that Xfinity is blocking a port. its NOT a vpn issue (weve NEVER used a VPN) and weve reset the modems MULTIPLE times (Soft AND factory resets)

IT GETS WORSE..

so they tell us we have to go on the app and enable port forwarding WEVE DONE THAT. then they say turn off parental controls, and advanced security. DONE. SAME RESULTS. weve had other techs come out and they tell us they are not authorized to do anything that has to do with the app. we,ve talked to Xfinitiys "Tier 3" support and they all read off the same script theres nothing they can do. so it seems that their brightest minds over there cant seem to figure out how to keep a port open and unblocked for more than 3 days at a time. meanwhile we have to pay another $10 a month to use a hotspot they provide (that shes NOT supposed to be using by the way. its REQUIRED that she be hardwired in through ethernet) and shes at risk of losing her job. ALL BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE THE "AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL" THATS ABLE TO GO IN FIND THE PORTS NEEDED TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT FOR GOOD!! we are here payin close to $1200 a year for THIS?? 3 tech, 4 modems and 15 calls and they STILL cant fix it??
