Does your USPSA classification carry over to IPSC?

Shooting my First IPSC Match, the IPSC Nationals here in FL in a couple weeks and am unsure of how this all works.

If i am C Class in Open for USPSA does that carry over to IPSC or should i be under the U category? Any clarity is helpful, i see some GM registered as U and some competitors registered with the USPSA class so i am confused as to what is proper and expected. TY in advance to whom ever can answer this definitively.
