Anyone having lag on servers?

I run a server at home that my wife, my son and I play on and it has run great for the last 4 months until this week's update. The update overall is great but the server performance has been lacking. We notice alot of rubberbanding, shooting a mob with no damage seeming to happen then the mob suddenly dies, mobs warping around and even delays on mining and such.
