Reflections of a newbie that finally gets EFT
Hi. I am a 45 year old gamer that has played almost every FPS under the sun. I have played Medal of Honor, Cod, Doom, Quake, Halo, Battlefield, you get the idea. I wanted a more competitive game and I started playing World Of Tanks. Eventually I became bored of WoT and the I started to play Tarkov. I am gun guy in real life and I enjoy shooting so I wanted a more realistic game than the modern FPSes provided. I just want to say that I am horrible at Tarkov, I make mistakes, I push when I should fall back and I forget to reload every so often. I have gear fear and when I find that awesome rifle in a match, I hoard it. I never use it because I will lose it right? THAT is the beauty of this game. Gear fear. That feeling of dread because will lose that unicorn rifle to some guy that blasts you out of nowhere with 7mm buckshot but you know what? It doesn't matter. Toss that feeling aside and enjoy losing your gear and unicorn rifle. You will always bounce back. You will have that random late night SCAV run on Customs where you find a massacre in crack house or dorms where all hell broke loose and you are there to vacuum everything up. Enjoy losing. Seriously, once you get over losing that awesome armor and 100k rifle because you made a mistake, the quicker the game becomes more fun. Just keep playing, grinding, learning, sitting in dark corners listening to all hell breaking loose outside and then push the bastards.
