Unpopular opinion: I did not care for the John Krasinski as Mr Fantastic fancast

Just to clarify: i do not think that John would've been a bad Mr Fantastic, that man is a good actor. But I've always been puzzled at how people, even outside the FF fan circle, pretended since 2019 that he's somehow the ONLY correct pick for the role.

When asked why he would allegedly make such a divine pick for Reed, the mentionned reasons would be one of the three: -He looks EXACTLY like Reed in the comics (it's somehow only ONE panel from a crossover event) -He's married to Emily Blunt so they could play Reed and Sue (as if that's a prerequisite to play a couple on screen -He expressed interest in playing the role (actor wants money-making role who knew)

My main qualm wasn't whether it's a good or bad fancast, it's that for years it has become essentially unavoidable on the internet and made FF discussions really tedious and boring. Like I'd see a fancast/fanart post with a really out-of-the-box well-thought out suggestion, but the comments would be flooded with "NO, BAD, IT'S JOHN KRASINSKI OR WE RIOT"

I also noticed that it's still brought up even to this day with the actual movie coming close, as the greatest casting that never happened, unlike Pedro's

So please tell me, am i alone on that? Or am i really missing details that would make me realize just how great this casting pick is?
