How do I get Firbomyalgia diagnosed
I have shoulder and neck pain, brain fog, random jerks whenever someone touches me on my upper spine near the neck. I have depression and anxiety (confirmed) since many years. Brain fog and fatigue are very prevalent too.
I am 50 years old, have these symptoms since 35 odd years. Initially it was very light and I assumed it was common for everyone. Since a few years the pain has become intense. My depression and anxiety have also shot up a lot (idk if the depression is causing fibromyalgia pain or the fibromyalgia pain is causing depression).
I had an appointment with rheumatologist few years back, she didn't diagnose me with anything, just gave me sleeping pills. I also have joint pain which I don't know if it's from arthritis or fibromyalgia.
My biggest issue over here is managing to get ky symptoms diagnosed. In my country the doctors are mot as beneficial. Many people even suggested me a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist gave me depression pills too. I don't think any doctor has remotely come close to thinking I could have fibromyalgia, so I am not sure how do I proceed with this.
Which doctor would you guys suggest me to get this diagnosed? I am quite confident it fibromyalgia. Looking forward to learning from people who've been in the same situation.
