NG+ help about materia and equipment

I finished the game yesterday and today I will start everything related to completionism and NG+, what are the best materia and equipment to obtain to best prepare? Is it possible to farm them? I read about an armor that can contain 7 materia slots and it is possible to obtain it repeatedly, do you confirm?
