Need to pick some FIRE brains on future plans

I (39M) have really been trying to do the right thing financially the past few years. Stock piling money into savings and HYSA. Trying to max out the retirement account. I got a non Hodgkin’s lymphoma diagnosis nov/dec of ‘23 but thankfully to good health insurance and knowing people I was able to catch it early and get great treatment so currently 9 months in remission (🤞🏻 it stays that way) but that situation has definitely sped up the thought process of getting out of the rat race to enjoy what time I have left.

I have a very good paying job that I intend to ride out for at least 5 more years. Have about a $650k nw ($200k paid for house, $200k savings, $200k 401k and some other little valuables I have no problem offing to help the situation. The initial plan was to leave the US for Southeast Asia (as cliche as that is) due to cost of living, being able to buy an apartment/condo outright, and just surf/work out/yoga on the beach every day. To people that may have gone down this path…any tips/tricks or things that I should account for? Shooting to retire by 45 at the latest and could easily live off of $25k a year (I live a very low profile life right now as it is).

Thanks in advance!
