My 1st vs 12th year of working out
M/31/5'7/50-80kgs
It's been some time since I shared a transformation post. This year sucked in terms of progress, a lot of work and family duties took over, including travel.
I know some of y'all would think that you can probably build this physique in a couple years and while I totally don't disagree, my intention is not to compete or hit a 500lb deadlift for Instagram.
Over all these years of lifting, I have learned that being healthy and staying injury free is the utmost important thing for longevity. Yeah you can push extra hard, put other things in your life aside and just go crazy in the gym to gains a couple more lbs of muscle.
But there will come a time where you might injure yourself by pushing your body extra hard and not be happy, mentally or financially with your life.
Obviously I care about being a better version of myself everyday, but I'd recommend all of you guys in your teens or 20s to not just focus on lifting but also other aspects of your life.
Lately I saw a video of Tarun Gill looking like he never lifted. And that got me thinking how alienated these guys are to the concept of being and STAYING healthy. Just pushing their stupid content for engagement and misguiding the youth into thinking it's a sprint.
Remember, it's a marathon! Take it slow, enjoy the pump and take care of your body, physically, spiritually AND mentally.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk!
