Attach Peak Design leash with Fujifilm triangle clips or Peak clips?

I just got a brand new X-T5 and ordered a Peak Design Leash (and Cuff) to use with it. My X-T5 didn’t come with leather protector pieces like I’ve used with other cameras, and I can already tell the triangles will probably scratch the silver paint.

Are the small round connectors that Peak includes secure enough to swap out for the triangles? (I feel like yes or they wouldn’t include them.) If I’m worried about scratching should I just buy some leather protector pieces too? My main concern is the security of the strap over paint scratching, but it does seem like the Peak split rings would scratch less because of their size.
