Product questions! (Pretttty long)

I know I'm only on my first fursuit and bro needs some heavy tweaking, but I really wanna get the good stuff for him! So I'm gonna get stuff from all different types of places.

I'm getting 8 different swatches of fur from Howl Fabric (2 minky and 6 fur, for matchability) And I'm curious, do noses and tongues have have to be minky? Because I plan to get the same color in luxary shag as i am in minky, so I can I not just use that instead? Or can I use minky to make the tail, ears, paws, nose and tongue? (He's a rodent bbg) Or is getting fur for the tail, paws and ears and minky for the nose in tongue more effective?

Also, from amazon I plan to get Spandex fabric for lining, does the color matter or not? And is spandex okay to use for lining?

And from Etsy I'm getting an eye blank type I've had my eyes on for a while, as well as some printed on mesh (because my paint I have doesn't stick when its hit with water). Is an eye blank with 60 mm vertically and 50 mm horizontal alright for the printed mesh of diameter with 55 mm or better with diameter of 64 mm?
