Best backlight settings?

Just got a Fenix 7 Pro and I love it so far. I’m wondering what the best settings are for backlight for normal use? Should I have the auto backlight on? What about wrist gesture? I’m coming from an instinct so I like being able to glance over at my watch while I’m at my desk.
