Yogurt for breakfast, yay or nay?

Second pregnancy, just failed my one hour glucose test. I had GD with my first, so I immediately pulled out all the informational packets I saved from last time.

The documents I have from last time pretty explicitly say to avoid yogurt (and milk, and fruit of course) for breakfast, since the natural sugars in them tend to spike your sugars when breaking a fast.

So I'm googling meal plans, because it's hard to think of healthy breakfast ideas that aren't just eggs, eggs, and more eggs. And so far they're all recommending yogurt for breakfast. Diabetes.CA recommends yogurt for breakfast for GD! Kaiser Permanente recommends 1 cup of milk as a breakfast or snack suggestion! The Eerie family health center recommends yogurt for breakfast! Those are the top 3 results when you google meal plan ideas.

Clearly, whatever source Sutter uses (my previous OB provider) don't think yogurt is good for breakfast, while other sources think it's fine.

I know that really at the end of the day, it comes down a lot to your own body and how it reacts (e.g. bananas were a no-go for me at any time of day, they absolutely spiked my blood sugars every single time no matter what, while other folks can eat eat half a banana as a snack no problem), and that I should consult my current OB, but still. It's just frustrating wanting to do this right and getting conflicting information.

I don't see my OB for another week so I'll ask her when I see her, but I'm already pre-annoyed at the possibility that she's going to give me totally conflicting advice from what my previous OB gave me. Ugh. How are you supposed to do anything right when no one agrees what's "right"?

Anyway, rant/vent over. What were your personal experiences with GD and yogurt? Were you told to avoid it for breakfast, or were you given the green light? Did you find it spiked your sugars, or was it fine?

(Plain, unsweetened yogurt, of course. Boo. Or Siggi's vanilla skyrr, which I'm considering as it's only 13g carbs per 3/4 cup. But I'll have to test that compared to plain yogurt once I get my glucometer.)
