Are you guys making prospective partners get tested before you disclose?

Reason I say this is because I feel like MANY of you are disclosing to people who don’t even know their hsv status. Chances are if they go get tested there is like a 70% chance something will come back positive for hsv1 or hsv2.

I say that to also say if you are hsv+ it’s kinda irresponsible to have sex with someone til you know 100% sure if they are negative or positive. Reason being they may be hooking up w you thinking they’re negative and have it the whole time. And after they get tested it comes back “positive” and they think you gave it to them.

In an ideal scenario I wouldn’t disclose til after we both get tested. Shows how serious they are about you and there’s a chance they will have it too.
