IPL machine user error causing burns

yall please be VERY careful not to use too much pressure while using at home IPL machines. the device should barely touch your skin, just gliding. and if you need to, you can leave the machine on (so the cooling mechanism keeps running) for like 10 mins before starting on another area of your body. i was applying too much pressure and got these burns all across my calves 😭😭 so yeah please keep this in mind especially if you’re POC and/or if you scar very easily like me 🫣
