Strawberry Crates! Need help!

I’m at a standstill with my cabin repairs bc I cannot seem to find anymore strawberry crates on the island. So far I have unlocked 17/25 and cannot repair anymore until I find more, or receive enough in the daily gifts (who knows how long that will take). I’ve read on other threads that the Developers said they don’t respawn, is that true? If that’s the case, how are we intended to repair any additional cabins? I’m super frustrated and hoping I’m missing something.
