Hobokenites have the worst train etiquette I’ve ever seen
It starts with crowding around the doors and SHOVING their way into the train to get a seat, not even letting people out of the train who are trying to get out.
Then people rush to get a seat, my pregnant wife has even been shoved out of the way before.
Then people seem to fucking think that standing abreast right in front of open doors is the best place to stand?? There’s usually two large men blocking every door when I walk down to the platform. Sometimes three. Oh, and they’re always wearing headphones so they don’t hear me saying “excuse me”.
Then idiots don’t know how to move in to the center of the car, so people bunch up around the doors, while the middle is free.
Then people don’t realize it’s their stop til the last second, and have to rush out the door.
It’s absurd and you all look like such assholes. Every morning. We need someone standing on the platform yelling at people to act right, I swear. The subway is worse in every way but this. People know how to get the fuck out of the way and move around. People in Hoboken seem like they’ve never ridden a train before.
