Where to start - Xiaomi / HomeKit integration

Hey guys, a total newbie here. A couple of days ago I bought Xiaomi Smart Hub (https://www.techpunt.nl/en/xiaomi-mi-smart-home-hub.html) to start with home automatization. From before I have:

I've managed to connect all the devices through Mi Home App, but the automation options are very limited there so I would like to connect everything through HomeKit app. My question is: If I buy myself a HomePod Mini, will I be able to use Xiaomi Smart Hub as a bridge (that's how it currently shows in HomeKit app) and through it connect both Mi Door and Window Sensor and Temperature and Humidity Monitor + the camera & USB Smart IR Remote? I know that I can't connect a Bluetooth device such as Mi Door and Window Sensor and Temperature and Humidity Monitor directly to HomePod as that connection is not supported, but will I get info from those devices in HomeKit if I connect Xiaomi Smart Hub between them? If not, do you have a suggestion what to buy?

I have a couple of ideas about how my automation scenes would look like, for example: when HomePod Mini/HomeKit registers that my phone has left the house, I would love to have it automatically set a "Away from home" Guard that will alert me when main house door opens + start a recording from the camera. When I return home, I would like that the iPhone/HomeKit/HomePod registers as I'm at home and automatically shut down the Guard, without the need to sound the alarm when I go through the front door. Or to at least set a 30-60sec timeframe in which I'll be able to scan an NFC tag to "report" that it's me who just entered the house. Functions like that are currently impossible to set in the Mi Home App.

I'm a total newbie in the world of Smart Home automatization but have a history of playing with devices so I know a thing or two. I've tried playing with HomeBridge/Home Assistant, but I'd rather invest money into HomePod that I could use for everyday tasks than into a Raspberry Pi. I can't run a server all day with one MacBook that I have so that's not an option -> therefore, a whole HomeBridge and Home Assistant is a no-go, I guess...

If you'd rather suggest I invest in something like that, I'm basically open to everything but HomePod is a preferred option until someone convinces me otherwise :D

Hopefully, I didn't make this as hard to you as it is in my head with all the ideas and questions that I don't have the answer to.

Any kind of suggestion is appreciated!
