My overall thoughts with Amphoreus' story

I want to say that overall I found the story to be great

personally my favorite moment was when Trailblazer was exploring his unknown memories of the SH

anyway things that I liked:

  1. The focus given to the main characters. TB, Phainon, Castorice, Mydei were all nicely explored this patch, and considering how they played the most major role in the story it's a good thing.
  2. The flow of the story was generally really good, I do agree that there were too many puzzles for it's own good but it's not to the extent where I would believe it ruined the flow of the story.
  3. The story offers a lot of interesting plot bits that keeps me interested and wanting more, people tend to overlook this aspect of a story but I find myself being interested in March's condition, TB's past and Mem's past and identity
  4. I like the dynamic Dan Heng and TB had in this patch, they are such a fun duo

now to my complaints:

  1. TB should have had more voiced lines, I am aware most of Trailblazer's voiced lines are in the part of his memory sequence but with the amount of dialogue options he had this patch I think they should have just made him voiced or at the very least half of those lines TB should have been voiced, Wuthering waves released their 2.0 story where the MC was voiced for almost majority of his lines and having the MC voiced made everything feel much more alive, we had a taste of this back in the Wardance where the dialogue option we picked made TB be completely voiced for a whole interaction and that was such a highlight for me. I was hoping to see something like that in the story so I am quite disappointed that it wasn't the case. I hope many people feel the same way.
  2. Hsr may not have very long cutscenes but they usually make up for it for having a lot of short ones, weirdly enough though I didn't feel like the story offered much cutscenes despite it's length, I think the story could have benefitted more from cutscenes and hsr has a lot of good cutscenes so I want to see more of that.
  3. The choice of making 3.0 release Herta and Aglaea despite them not really being the focus of the patch? to me this is another Jing Yuan case where there really isn't much to work on that makes me attached to Aglaea, and despite us knowing Herta already I feel like her true form wasn't really explored all that much which is a bummer.
  4. I agree with everyone else that reusing assets kind of ruins the experience, I am quite honestly sick of seeing Belobog every single time cuz it's always not even the actual place, I can excuse using the barren snowy lands of Belobog as there isn't gonna be much difference if the location is gonna be snowy planes anyway but why did we have to have the streets part of Belobog in The Herta's part of the story? like I just don't see how that location fits at all. They can reuse assets but I hope they at the very least tweak the design and add things to make the location look different. Reusing a location 1:1 as is just really feels lazy and ruins the immersion.

while the complaints section are much more lengthy, I generally liked the story, the complaints are more minor nitpicks that I believe would greatly increase the overall experience of the game.
