Choosing Computer Science as a backup career??
So for college im choosing to go for computer science but what I really want to do in the future is to work in either UI design/graphic designing or work for a production company (for film, advertisements, etc.). Is it wise to choose computer science since it's a much more stable option + it's a very versatile path? I'm not really comfortable choosing an art or communications/film degree since it's a bit risky and unstable (I'm not much of a risk taker). I plan to learn design skills through self-study, and as for working in a production company, it is to my knowledge that experience is much more valued in that industry than the degree u took right?? I know a lot of people are concerned whether I can handle the difficulty of computer science (i am concerned too) but my math is pretty good if i understand the topic through a great teacher. As for coding, i took C+ programming classes back in sophomore year as an intro to programming and it was a bit hard for me since my teacher was kinda bad and i didnt take anything seriously back then when we were on lockdown and classes were done online...Regardless, I do find programming interesting now and I am willing to learn!! I just need some clarity and advice though. Do u think its a dumb idea?
