Capital expenditure of Dept. of Science and Technology is increased by massive 27393% - All thanks to a new R&D scheme of 20,000 crore

In the new Union budget announced today, the total budget estimate for Department of Science and Technology is ₹28508.90 Crores which is increased by 503% from Revised Budget Estimate of ₹5661.45 Crores of last year.

This is because, Capital Expenditure is increased from ₹73.36 Crores of last year to ₹20,095.85 Crores.

All thanks to new fresh "Research, Development & Innovation (RDI)" scheme which has been given ₹20,000 Crore.
