The great fire

I have a slight nitpick about the great fire thing and its like

..NOBODY DIED. like moonie mentions later that "someone couldve died"

And i just wanna know..why didnt anyone die?? Regular degular House fires kill people and youre telling me that a magic chinese fire powers didnt kill one person and it burnt down HALF of the town. HALF. and not ONE person died Did they not wanna make it weigh on her concience or smth?
