Should Christians forsake Christ in favor of culture?

I, for one, come from a culture that kind of gets this. Our people (the Acadians) were the victims of the earliest and largest ethnic cleansing recorded North America. A large part of the reason for this was our Catholic faith. If you go to South Louisiana today, most people are Catholic, but even more Cajuns/Acadians are Catholic.

I’ve become convinced that the Lutheran confessions are the truest form of Catholicism. But I come from a culture that won’t abandon Rome.

At what point does truth supersede culture? I think that when a culture lacks the truth, we should give way to truth.
