Bonked MSI Motherboard?
Hola folks,
I can only boot with a single stick of RAM in slot 4.
Specs:
CPU: i5-12400
Mobo: MSI B760 Gaming Plus Wifi
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB ddr5 96GB 6800mhz
What I have tried so far:
- Try single stick in every slot. Only works in slot 4.
- Try other single stick in every slot. Only works in slot 4 (but this means both sticks have no problems)
- Put both sticks in slots 2 and 4.
- Put both sticks in 1 and 3.
- Put both sticks in every possible permutation
- Update bios to most recent version, with M-Flash. Version 7D98vHx now, successfully updated.
- Load optimised defaults
- Increase voltage to RAM to 1.15.
- Increase timing adjustments by 2 each
- change DRAM timing mode to unlink
- Decrease frequency to 3600mhz
- Rest Bios to optimised defaults. Load XMP profile for RAM sticks
- Clear CMOS
- Swap out RAM sticks for Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB 6000mhz, also slots 2 and 4
- Remove cpu cooler and reseat CPU
- Use alternate PSU
Nothing works. Always get the flashing from red to orange, then solid Orange Ez-Debug light, with no video output.
See attached photos of my CPU and CPU tray on the motherboard. Do either look damaged?
Is my motherboard/CPU just fucked?
Anyone have any suggestions on what else to do?
