Helix Midnight - regular version - Review (soon, so ask any questions you'll want answered)
Just putting this here for anyone who wants it in the future. I recently moved across the country with no furniture for a new job. After doing plenty of research (on this sub and other places on the internet), I ended up buying a Quren size Helix Midnight from the "core collection" because I don't have "Luxe" money, and my back is starting to get tight from the air mattress I've been sleeping on (really good imo as far as air mattress go).
I chose it based on my size/shape (5' 10", 185-190 lb, athletic build), and sleeping position (I usually fall asleep on my side, and wake up in almost any position. This will be the first non-innerspring mattress that I've owned, but I've slept on hybrids before and slept well. In the past I've usually gone for firmer mattresses, but I figured that now would be the time to make the adjustment for the sake of my spine.
I mostly picked Helix because of the variety of firmness levels, and I can do an exchange if needed. Also, I like that they'll send a free mattress pad if the bed is almost right but not quite - I'll probably take advantage of this no matter how much I love the bed. I'm assuming the bed will arrive within 10-14 days. I'll also probably be getting a Zinus bedframe from Amazon and, sheets that are TBD.
