Sex is overrated
I have been living in a monastery in upsatte NY since I was 19, almost 3 years now. Had a few girlfriends in school, but nothing serious. Never had sex in my life. Never felt like I am missing out. Honestly, I have never been happier in my life. Working on yourself and your spiritual path is king. If you are unhappy and miserable getting into a relationship will only make it worse for both people if you ignore your internal issues.
There is a whole world out there that most men don’t tap into because they are too distracted cashing women. I remember when one girl broke my heart in high school, I got super depressed and suffered for a while, looking back just makes me think how many stupid things we do when we are blinded by lust. But that experience made me realize that suffering is inevitable and I have to learn how deal with it.
I plan being a monk first the rest of my life, although this lifestyle comes with its own sufferings and challenges and I recommend everyone to spend a few months living a monastery at least once in their life. No drugs, no alcohol, no sex, no masturbation, porn or any of that poison. Complete detox is a life changing experience. Especially in this current world that we live in.
Once you get clean and spend some time focusing on yourself your reality will completely transform. Then you can actually have healthy stable relationships. Do yourself a favor guys, obviously not everyone is born to be a monk, but learning to control yourself and and becoming a strong man internally is something no one talks about. It’s not about a sex, Bugattis or money, deep inside our hearts we all know that. Those things are good if used wisely, but that void in your heart can only be fulfilled by connecting with God.
Be careful on your path guys, wish me luck and pray for me. We live in a crazy world, I can’t even imagine what some of you are going through. If anyone has any questions or just needs to talk to someone just write me. I have been in a very dark place myself, so just wanted to reach out and say that I am here if anyone needs support.
