Question regarding shooting

Hey guys and gals,

A few friends and I started playing this awesome game a few weeks ago. We now have a question about shooting. The rules state that friendly models in base contact with each other do not obstruct each others shots. So a row of 2 archers in base contact can shoot freely. But could I also position three or more rows of archers together without them obstructing their shots? I feel you shouldn't be able to but the German rules Manual isn't completely clear about this in my opinion. Thanks
