What is going on October 27th? Hotel rates jacked.

Trying to get my mom a hotel room in downtown and places that are normally $125-$150 a night are going for $265-$320 and the nicer places that are typically $225-$300 are going for $375 to $600. No Vikings in town I’m absolutely perplexed at the jacked rates.
