Epic opinions
Little bit of context/background: I'm currently on my third cruise, aboard the Epic. My previous two were also through NCL (Dawn and Escape in that order), and both were incredible.
The Epic though? Honestly, so far not impressed... My stateroom is great, minus the constant vibration that I feel all over the ship. The staff aren't super friendly compared to the other two voyages either. The common areas (ie the arrium) are so dark and there's no real promenade deck. We just had our first port today and the exit process was a total mess. First impressions: I'd intentionally avoid going on the Epic again. But now I also wanna know if anyone has had particularly positive experiences on the Epic, because maybe I'm just travel fatigued and grouchy.
Edit: I don't want this post to be completely negative, so here's some positives: -My room steward Ramiro, he seems to be tending to all the studios on my deck yet every time he greets me by my name, I honestly don't remember if our previous stewards really did that and it's very nice -The service at the Manhattan Room has been great -Teppanyaki on night 1 was amazing, cannot recommend making a reservation there regardless of what ship you're on. The chefs are always super fun and the food is so good -The pool is open later than the two other ships I've been on, which makes for some really fun nighttime wave pool swims -The garden is located forward rather than mid or aft, it can be hard to get forward-facing views anywhere else on the ship if you didnt book a forward-facing stateroom so it's nice that there's a common area that does There's still 5 days left of this voyage, so I hope I can add to these positives buuuut I'm not holding my breath
