OROTY Discussion: Why is Brock Bowers so far out of discussion?

I’m a Washington fan and obviously love what JD5 is doing. But Brock Bowers is younger, and playing at a position that everyone tells me is harder for rookies to make an impact. He set the record for most receptions by a rookie ever, not just tight ends. I just can’t believe he’s this far out of contention. I know QBs are heavily favoured but this feels ridiculous.
