New DB is so useless he’s making my job harder when he WFH.

DB is a gastrointestinal surgeon. There’s no doubt he’s intelligent but I have never worked with a DB so useless. I don’t know if it’s weaponised incompetence or something else.

A few examples.

1. NK (3) was asking for these cookies and said she eats them all the time. She has a dairy allergy. The box of the cookies say “may contain milk” because they’re made in a factory that handles milk too. I don’t want to trust a 3 year old and go to ask her dad. He shrugs and says he honestly doesn’t know and if he wants me to text MB to check.
2. I’m about to take NK to play outside. She has these weather/mud proof overalls for going outside. I go and ask DB where it is. He doesn’t know offers to text MB. Same reaction when I ask for socks.
3. I needed a clean bottle for her to take outside with us. Asked DB and same reaction.

Now the worst one.

1. NK is having a tantrum for more screen time. I know not to give in. MB is also saying no pacifier during the daytime. DB wants to give it to her. I calmly explain why she can’t and he says he didn’t know.

I could literally ask him what color the sky is and he’ll offer to text MB to check.

MB works too. She is an optometrist but is capable of running the household. DB doesn’t seem to know his way around his own home. I once overheard her on the phone complaining she has to do everything.
