Can We Really Make A True Career Out Of Nannying?

I’m annoyed because I’m college educated, “bilingual” and have going on 8 years of experience with infants and toddlers. Besides teaching, I’ve always wanted to make a career of nannying. I feel it truly is a blessing to work with children privately and in their own home. Some families also offer amazing benefits. But why are “good” families so hard to come by? I can’t help but feel mediocre Nannies that are undeserving get the good families. Regardless of my experience or talents, I’m amazing and all of the families I’ve worked for will tell you that. I’m just annoyed because it seems I can’t find any “good” positions. I’m new to agencies and they also seem like a tremendous waste of time. I thought it was my resume format but I had an agent tell me my resume was great. Maybe this isn’t the calling God has for my life.
