What's it like having universal health care?
This is for the folks living in countries where universal health care is or has been a thing. Growing up in the US, I was always taught that Canada or the UK had to suffer such situations as broken limbs being given the same level of priority as heart attacks and strokes, but it's difficult to find objective sources on the internet that actually demonstrate this happening. Can y'all tell me the pros and cons of universal health care as you've experienced them?
Edit: I appreciate all the answers and feedback. Just to give some background about how this question came up, I was watching a K-drama with my wife and noticed that the characters would go to the hospital for every little thing, bruises, scrapes, and the big stuff, and I was like, wow, they never seem to worry about bills or going to the hospital unnecessarily, that looks great! So I'm trying to learn more about what it's like.
