What's it like living in Nova Scotia?

So I'm from the Toronto area in Ontario, but I've started considering looking for work in Nova Scotia. I recently finished a welding program here, so I'm thinking of finding work at the shipyards in Halifax. However I must admit I don't know what its like living in Halifax, or Nova Scotia in general.
